PLEASE NOTE: If you are considering a scholarship, please DO NOT register for the training until you receive notification about your scholarship funding. Winning recipients will receive a discount code to use at registration for their selected training. Recipients are responsible for paying the balance of their registration fee. Instructions and scholarship discount code will be provided at the time of the award.
Associate Level certification requires prerequisite completion of the 5-day Classroom Educator/Associate Part 1 training, this additional 2-day training, and completion of a practicum with application approval from the Academy. Completion of the Associate Level coursework prepares individuals to teach one-on-one and with any size group. Completion of a subsequent practicum and a passing application is required to obtain Academy membership and certification. The practicum is available for an additional cost.

About the Instructor:
Grace Sharma is a credentialed educator in the areas of Early Childhood Education, Special Education, and Pupil Administrative Services. She has been active in the field of education as a teacher, intervention specialist, administrator, and teacher trainer for over 15 years. Grace is a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist through the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI) and an Accredited Training Fellow in the Orton-Gillingham Academy (OGA). She is a National LETRS trainer, and serves as President on the Board of the Northern California Branch of theInternationalDyslexiaAssociation. Gracestrivestoempowerstudentswiththeirown“toolkit”ofstrategiesto approach daily challenges and become confident, lifelong learners.
