The International Dyslexia Association, Los Angeles Branch is a non-profit organization that serves Los Angeles County, Ventura County, Santa Barbara County, and parts of Orange County. The Los Angeles County Branch is dedicated to stimulating awareness and understanding of dyslexia, to establish and promote the treatment of dyslexia and to give support to dyslexics and their families. Our purpose is accomplished through many free or low cost community programs by a group of hard working volunteers.


Study Group

Our study group, led by members of our Study Group Committee, meets four times a year to review the latest research on dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities. Parents, educators, and allied professionals are welcome to join the discussion.

Our Topic:

Transitioning from High School

We will examine articles from the current issue of Perspectives (Winter 2018) that focus on recognizing the challenges and providing support to those with dyslexia and other learning differences as they transition from high school - whether to college, trade school, or the work force.

We welcome educators, parents, and interested adults. Our discussions include the sharing of practical and personal experiences and responses that relate to the research topic.
