For Parents of Children with Dyslexia & Other Language Based Learning Differences

The groups meet three times a year for parents to find support from other parents who are on a similar journey, input from professionals in the field, and information about local resources.

Come and get your questions answered in this fun and interactive presentation.

Senior certified ADHD Coach and Counselor Carol Gignoux will address how schools can have a positive impact on the ADHD child’s ability to succeed, what parents need to know to be good advocates for their children in and out of school, and how to manage your ADHD child’s behavior at home.

Our parent support group is open to all IDALA members and non-members; however, membership is encouraged!  Membership includes access to research journals, discounts to our conferences and workshops, and access to Dyslexia Connection an e-newsletter written for parents that deals with dyslexia and related learning disabilities. Articles focus on parenting, advocacy and other issues facing families with children who learn differently.
