The International Dyslexia Association, Los Angeles Branch is a non-profit organization that serves Los Angeles County, Ventura County, Santa Barbara County, and parts of Orange County. The Los Angeles County Branch is dedicated to stimulating awareness and understanding of dyslexia, to establish and promote the treatment of dyslexia and to give support to dyslexics and their families. Our purpose is accomplished through many free or low cost community programs by a group of hard working volunteers.

Great Minds Don't Think Alike®Scholarship Fund

The IDALA is pleased to announce the creation of a scholarship fund with the dual goals of bringing knowledge and awareness of Dyslexia to teachers and providing grants to help teachers implement effective interventions in their classrooms.  The fund provides scholarships for teachers to attend our annual conference, Language and Learning, as well as partial scholarships for structured literacy teacher training workshops held in our area.  For information about the Great Minds Don't Think Alike® grant program, please click on the tab above. Grant applications are currently being accepted. 

Please consider donating to our Scholarship Fund to support teachers and schools in their efforts to better understand and teach students with Dyslexia. Your contribution of any amount is greatly appreciated.  All donations are fully tax-deductible.100% of the proceeds are applied to scholarship awards.
